Robby Robbins

A Vision for Guthrie, A Heart for People

A Life Transformed Pastor Robby Robbins ministry is rooted in a powerful personal transformation. Having not grown up in the church, he walked through the doors of a sanctuary for the first time at age 19. That day, upon hearing the message of the Gospel and the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ, he surrendered his life to the Lord—a decision that has defined his path for over forty years.

The Foundations of Southpointe In 1983, Robby and his wife, Kathy, arrived in Guthrie with a vision to plant a local, Bible-believing church. What began as Bible Baptist Church in the Prairie Hill School Building grew from a foundation of personal connection; Robby knocked on doors throughout the neighborhood to invite the very first 22 visitors.

A Legacy of Growth Under his steady leadership, the ministry moved to its current South Division location in 1986. Through decades of expansions and a recent transition to the name SouthPointe Baptist Church, Robby’s focus has remained on building a space that serves the community’s evolving needs while staying anchored in the Word.

His Ministry Heart Known for his approachable nature and “open-door” spirit, Robby views the church as more than a building—it is a family, a fellowship, and a place for anyone and everyone. His mission remains the same today as it was four decades ago: to help others find the same salvation that he did, joy through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
