Before entering executive leadership in the church, Shawn was widely known for his remarkable wrestling career at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). A two-time National Champion and three-time All-American, he was named to the NCAA Division II All-Quarter Century Team, recognizing him as one of the most dominant athletes of the last 25 years. He remains connected to the world of sports as a broadcaster for Guthrie News Page (GNP TV), sharing his love for the local community through play-by-play and sports coverage.+2

Shawn lives in Guthrie with his wife, Lyndsey, and their three children: Wesley, Wyatt, and Wager.
